This will be useful where users cannot stack up on to Pi, they opt for this option. Variant 2 :Board with 40 Pin Male header and respective FRC with box header to connect with Raspberry pi, instead of stack up. Will occupy less space (length or width) but more height or depth. So that user can directly plug it on to Pi and use it for their application.

Variant 1 :Board with suitable special 40Pin male-female header soldered from the bottom side of the board in-compatible to stack up on Raspberry Pi. All the inputs and outputs can be monitored and controlled simultaneously. It has 4 isolated digital inputs to monitor 4 digital sensors, has 4 isolated digital outputs to control 4 digital outputs like relays and 3 analog 4-20mA current inputs. Variant can be chosen while purchasing based on your application and planned way of implementation. This boards board comes in 2 variants mentioned below. It has an RTC with its dedicated button-cell to help logging data with time stamp for the purpose of analysis. Battery backup and above features will help user, where user wants to save the existing instant data and turn off Pi by soft shutdown in case of mains power failure. It has few salient features like mains power input presence detection and battery voltage monitoring. It has special feature of RESTART button onboard and also can be connected using RMC externally. It also has li-po charger on-board to charge a single Li-Po cell, the same can act as power back up to Pi. It can take 12-24V DC wide input and regulates it to required voltage for raspberry pi, that means user can use industry standard 24V DC to powerup the Pi using this board. It has functions like isolated digital inputs/outputs and analog inputs. We plan is to launch the new IO Pi board mid-December and we are planning to use this with the Delta Sigma board on a new version of our solar logging system with the addition of a new board to allow sections of the low voltage system to be switched automatically depending on load and battery voltage.Ĭomments Leave a reply Your email address will not be published. This device is made specially for Raspberry Pi.

Unlike many of the IO boards currently on the market which only offer a single IO facility such as GPIO buffering or I2C expansion the new IO Pi board will include a 8 way buffer for the GPIO ports, I2C logic level converter, 16 IO I2C based port expander, RS232 serial port and 1-wire interface with surge protection. We are now working on a stackable general input/output IO board. The new ADC Pi - Raspberry Pi Analogue to Digital converter is available to order from our e-commerce shop from: New IO board project.

The new design also has an improved layout with better screening for the inputs and also has the facility to change the I2C addresses of the chips so it is now possible to stack 4 of these boards on a single Raspberry Pi giving 32 inputs.Due to the increased cost of the 18 bit ADC chips, additional components and the selection headers there has been a small increase in the price of the boards but they are still much cheaper than other boards currently on the market which offer analogue to digital conversion for the Raspberry Pi. The new version uses the MCP3424 ADC chip from Microchip and is an 18 bit version ADC. Following feedback and supply problems with the 16 bit ADC chip we had been using on our popular ADC Pi board which we sell on we have been working on a new version of the ADC board and we have now launched version 2 of the ADC Pi board.
